Abstracts due February 21
Student Research Day is an annual event held each spring for undergraduate and graduate students in all disciplines to present their scholarly work. Students’ research and creative accomplishments and the important role faculty play as mentors are both highlighted. Any bet36365体育 student engaged in mentored research or creative activity is eligible and encouraged to participate, even if their work was not funded through bet36365体育.
Presentations include oral presentations, poster presentations, performances, and exhibitions. Poster and oral presentations are judged and awards are given at a reception at the end of the event. There are also writing competitions which will be judged prior to Research Day with prizes awarded at the closing ceremony.
Abstracts should be a single paragraph that is 200-300 words in length, but otherwise following the conventions of the specific discipline. Students can submit their abstracts via NU Ramp by selecting “IC Application” (under “Quick Add Actions”) and then ““Student Research Day 2025 - Undergraduates” or “Student Research Day 2025 - Graduates” from the drop down menu.

To accommodate the large number of anticipated submissions, we have divided the poster presentations into three sessions. To be eligible for awards students must be present for judging. If you cannot be present, please arrange for your poster to be hung and taken down by someone else. If this is not possible, please contact our office.

Judging for virtual presentations will be arranged separately and will occur prior to student research day. Virtual presentations are an option for students that complete the majority of their courses online.
